Policies

At the time of rental, additional renters must qualify with a valid driver’s license and major credit card in their own name. Debit cards cannot be used to qualify as an additional renter. A daily fee applies to all additional renters including spouse and domestic partner.

Optional service items such as LDW, RLI/SLI, PAI/PEP are available to purchase at the time of rental. Please contact location directly for product availability and pricing. As an independent licensee of Dollar Rent A Car Inc. the terms and conditions may vary from dollar.com. Theft protection is not included in the optional Loss Damage Waiver at this location.

Debit Cards are accepted for rentals of economy through full-size vehicles only. Must present two (2) valid forms of identification, proof of round trip flight itinerary purchased at least 24 hours in advance coinciding with the rental period and complete successful Equifax credit screen. An authorization hold of $500 plus the estimated cost of the rental applies to all debit card rentals, including Dollar Express members. The authorization hold funds will not be available for the duration of the rental and until the final charge is processed. EMV chip processing required on all forms of payment.

Driving is restricted to the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Northern California. Driving in Canada is limited to southern British Columbia including Greater Vancouver area, Victoria, and Whistler B.C. This location does not participate in one-way rentals to other cities. Vehicle must return to scheduled return location.

To qualify to rent a Dollar vehicle, renter must present a valid driver’s license and major credit or debit card. The driver’s license and credit card must be in renter’s name as it appears on the driver’s license. At the time of rental, an authorization hold of $200 plus the estimated cost of the rental (minimum authorization hold $250) applies to all credit card rentals including Dollar Express members. The authorization hold funds will not be available for the duration of the rental and until the final charge is processed. If Dollar cannot secure the required credit approval, or proper identification credentials are not supplied, Dollar will decline the rental. EMV chip processing required on all forms of payment. Pre-paid, secured, credit builder, gift, non-named, temporary, electronic, phone, and app-based forms of payment as well as cash are not accepted.

When the renter chooses to receive Frequent Flyer miles, we will collect a Frequent Flyer surcharge, not to exceed $1.50 per day, at the time of rental to offset a portion of the annual cost of participation in the Frequent Flyer program.

Reservations will be honored for 6 hours after original scheduled pick up time. Customers with reservations who experience weather or mechanical delays with airlines will be accommodated.

No Smoking / No Vaping – detail fees will apply for any required cleaning or deodorizing from a customer’s use to include odors, animal hair, dirt, stains, etc.

Dollar Rent A Car is located in the SeaTac Consolidated Car Rental Facility, 3150 South 160th Street, SeaTac, WA 98188. Follow airport car rental signage for rental/return information and directions. SeaTac’s Consolidated Car Rental Facility buses operate on a continuous basis, transporting car rental customers between the airport terminal and the car rental facility. Dollar Express customers can bypass the main car rental counter and proceed directly to the Dollar Express customer service booth located on the 1st floor of the parking structure. Present your driver’s license and credit card for verification, sign the rental agreement and be on your way.

Customers who do not purchase prepaid fuel option must refill the vehicle within a 10-mile radius of the rental return facility and present a fuel receipt to avoid refueling charges.

For rentals 30 days or longer, renters must return the vehicle for maintenance and renew their rental agreement every 30 days.

A valid driver’s license in the customer’s own name must be presented at the time of rental. Minimum age is 21 on All vehicles; please note special Vehicle Requirements. Renters under 25 will be charged an underage fee of $25.00 per day USD. International Renters must present a valid license from their country of residence. An International Driving Permit is strongly recommended for a driver’s license that is in a language other than English. Renters with driver’s licenses issued outside of the United States must provide a valid passport and proof of round trip flight information. Learner permits, restricted licenses, temp. violation licenses, clipped / altered or photocopied / photos of driver’s licenses are NOT accepted. Local rentals between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am require an airline ticket / itinerary, unless pre-approved during normal business hours of 8:00am and 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. Local address as determined by driver’s license requires verifiable contact telephone number. This rental location is an independent licensee of Dollar Rent A Car Inc. and reserves the right to set its own rental qualifications.

Any changes to the reservation or rental extension may result in a change of rate or additional fees.

Cashless Toll Roads and Bridges: If a toll is incurred, customer will be responsible for all toll charges as well as an administrative processing fee. For more information inquire at the rental counter at the time of rental.

Must be 25 years of age or older and present a major credit card in order to rent luxury or specialty vehicles; applies to renters and additional renters. Debit and secured credit cards are not accepted for luxury or specialty vehicles.
